Thomas James "Tom" Kenny (born July 13, 1962) is an American actor, voice actor and comedian who provides the voice of the Taunting Jester Magisword in the Mighty Magiswords episode, "Surely You Jest-O".
He also provides the voice of the title (and main) character in Nickelodeon's popular animated show SpongeBob SquarePants.
He was an associate of series creator Kyle A. Carrozza. They both met at a Nickelodeon's Random! Cartoons wrap party hosted by Andy Paley[1] (who himself is Tom's friend and scored Kyle's MooBeard the Cow Pirate short on Random! Cartoons). Kyle also worked with Tom on some SpongeBob-related projects: Kyle portrayed the Spongebob-obsessed nerd guy dressed in a Spongebob costume in the "Ridin' the Hook" music video, in which Tom made a cameo during the grocery scene),[citation needed] produced a song cover for the Best Day Ever album (which, although rejected by Stephen Hillenburg, Tom still bought it from Kyle).[citation needed] Kyle was also a storyboard artist and character layout artist on the second SpongeBob Squarepants movie Sponge Out of Water,[2] which was his last project before Mighty Magiswords got picked up by Cartoon Network. An autographed printed picture of Ice King can be seen in Kyle's office as well.[citation needed]
